MoZrO2
MoZrO2 is a unique Molybdenum (Mo) alloy material, doped with Zirconium Oxide (ZrO2), for advanced glass melting applications. With small quantities of ZrO2 added to Mo, the inherent properties of electrodes for glass manufacturing processes significantly improves. Not only does MoZrO2 exhibit excellent creep resistance, but it is also demonstrates a high resistance to glass melts.

For some specialized applications, such as the glass used in the solar industry or container glass, MoZrO2 proves beneficial. In the production of solar glass, refining agents may be present, which may affect the grain structure of pure Mo, leading to potential damage to electrodes. Uniquely, MoZrO2 can withstand the aggressive nature of this environment without potential damage. In the production of green and brown glass, often used in the container industry, MoZrO2 may reduce the potential for electrode corrosion.

Why Is MoZrO2 The Best Material For Electrodes?
Molybdenum-Zirconium Dioxide (MoZrO2) is a superior and premium material for electrodes in more advanced glass melting environments. If other refining agents are present, there is a potential for harm to the grain structure of pure molybdenum. MoZrO2 may prove as the advantageous material.
