
MoZrO2 Glass Melting Electrodes
MoZrO2 glass melting electrodes offer a higher corrosion resistance for more aggressive glass melts and production environments. For these, we add small amounts of zirconium-dioxide to molybdenum. This further enhances the properties of pure molybdenum.

While MoZrO2 has the same electrical conductivity as Mo, it does offer higher creep resistance, while maintaining great machinability, and has no negative influence on the glass quality. The determining factor is its higher corrosion resistance in many types of glass.
